This information is provided by the candidate

I am the mother of a senior at Los Altos High School. My husband, son and I have lived in Los Altos for 18 years. I have a degree in psychology from Stanford.

I have served on the Site Council at Almond and Egan schools and was involved in many aspects of the school community including Project Cornerstone, school beautification, room parent and increasing engagement of our Spanish-speaking families at Almond.

I am the director of Kids in Common, a program of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. Kids in Common is a children's advocacy organization focused on creating a community where every child is safe, healthy, successful in learning, successful in life. We are data- and researched-based and we work to bring together the right people to work on the right issues.

  • I have experience developing and managing budgets and know how to ensure the district's fiscal stability.
  • I am well-versed in best practices that lead to improved outcomes for young people and I know what works to help our most vulnerable youth be successful.
  • I know how to use data to inform program improvement, guide decision-making and drive results.
  • I know how to bring people from diverse backgrounds together to identify solutions to difficult challenges.

I am an American Leadership Forum Fellow (Class of 28) and last summer I attended the Clinton Global Initiative and focused on improving results for disengaged youth.

I am a thoughtful, fair-minded and inclusive leader and I believe every student matters. I also know that our students are so much more than the grades they get in their classes. I believe school can be a place where each young person can realize how they are a unique contributor to the world.

These values are core to who I am as a person and I will carry those with me as I consider issues facing the governing board.
