My concerns for growth
Most people here will say jobs, and jobs are a big concern in Barstow as with most cities. However, in Barstow we have a problem that is unique in the high desert. We have leakage. As new jobs are created, they'll employ a public that may settle on living elsewhere. If they do prefer Barstow for their residence, they may decide to shop elsewhere. The jobs are coming. We have installed the utilities to the site of our industrial park and there is interest at the site for development. As the jobs come, we must make the city more desirable to shop, dine and entertain. We have the vision for this with the Spanish Trials.
