Candidate for Board Member; Galt Joint Union High School District

What we accomplished during my previous tenure on the Galt HS Board
During My First Tenure on the Galt High School Board WE:

1. Brought over $81M of ADDITIONAL FUNDS to the District
2. Raised combined student test scores nearly 200 points
3. Fiscally sound 8 straight years
4. Rated one of 75 Most Promising High Schools in the US!!
5. Brought TWO new high schools to Galt
6. Refurbished and remodeled GHS three times
7. Raised graduation rates from 80% to 90%
8. Started the Engineering Dept. and Program
9. Installed new lighting at Hatzenbuhler Stadium
10. Negotiated a yearly rental income from Verizon to be used for a new stadium
11. Scholarships increased three fold
12. One student received a Pell Grant (full-ride scholarship for life)
13. Installed new seating in the GHS Auditorium
14. Brought a spirit of participation and prosperity to the campuses
15. Passed a Bond Measure for the first time in 40 years
16. Sent three students on to play Major League Baseball
17. Graduated three of the greatest Women Athletes ever to play at Galt High
18. Installed new fiberoptic lines to all GHS classrooms
19. Provided new computers and systems to the entire GHS campus
20. Received the Gov. of CA Award for our cafeteria and healthy foods innovations
21. Provided an Adult Education Program to the community at no cost to the District (over 300 students enrolled)
22. By utilizing an innovative funding program for constructing the new high schools known as Lease-Lease Back-Purchase, we were able to save the taxpayers nearly $18 Million in construction costs.
