Craig Smarker has years of management experience as an operations manager in the manufacturing industry. Through this experience he has developed and fine-tuned his skills to be an effective team leader. He learned how to run cost effective operations and remain competitive in challenging market conditions.

Responsible for creating a supportive culture where there is a partnership commitment among the team is positive , intent when working with partners.The primary responsibility of this role was to provide leadership, this position requires a high level of initiative, creativity and frequently exercises independent judgment. Manage the financial performance of the business unit including sales, profitability and key metrics through proper and ethical in-store operations.

Operation Manager:

AOC Resins and Coatings November 1986-January 2006

Directed mentor, facilitated the critical thinking process of the work activities of the day to day Plant Operation and Quality Assurance department on techniques and processes. These activities included assignment of areas of responsibility, technical product testing and product disposition,established procedures to determine conformance with accepted specifications for a particular property. Insured incoming and outgoing material testing of the Quality Assurance lab were performed accurately and timely. Lead investigation and resolution of product quality issues with emphasis on implementation of corrective actions goals. Identified training needs for Quality Assurance Inspectors/Auditors, and trained them as necessary. Provided leadership and enforcement for the adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices. Acted as a resource for the technical department in helping to solve key technical problems. Supported production operations during new product scale-ups and as required with issues related to the lab testing and product development. Identifed process and material improvements on new and existing products and will helped transition the improvements internally and externally on multiple projects and efficiently utilize both internal and external resources.

Lead a team of 25 hourly employees with varying levels of experience and education. Responsibiltes included team development, quality performance, cost, and safety.
