Elect Nancy Horton for Division One Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District

By Nancy C. Horton

Candidate for Director; Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District; Division 1

This information is provided by the candidate
Experience is the key to this election. I have 6 years of experience on water issues in the San Jacinto River Watershed, advocating for funding for water quality projects in Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore.
Your water district board must be well informed and dedicated to solving the problems of water supply, price, and quality. I am well prepared to represent Division One.
For the past six years, I have devoted considerable time to Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, and Quail Valley, on compliance, funding, and learning about water agencies. With the continuous drought throughout the state and the threat of water rationing, it is essential to have solid representation on EVMWD fighting for clean, reliable, affordable water.
I am immediate past President of the Lake Elsinore San Jacinto Watersheds Authority; member of the Total Maximum Daily Load Task Force, Director of the San Jacinto River Watershed Council, Secretary-Treasurer of the Quail Valley Environmental Coalition; Canyon Lake City Council Member; and coordinator of water education events and workshops. These experiences have given me an extensive knowledge of water issues in the San Jacinto River Watershed.
When I am elected to Division One, EVMWD, I pledge to represent all customers of Division One, to keep costs to the minimum while providing high quality drinking water, expanding the use of recycled water, and assuring a clean, healthy water supply for the future. On November 4, I would be honored to have your vote.
