Water management, New Business Recruitment, Enhanced public safety, Increased code enforcement, New Job recruitment
Banning has many areas we are constantly are working to improve. Water management includes conservation, recycling, and customer education. Banning has joined the San Gorgonio Regional Water Alliance as part of the process to address these issues in addition to the ongoing work of staff. New Business recruitment includes one to one talks with potential new businesses and we also talk with existing businesses to make sure we are offering the services they need such as one offered by the county to reimburse partial salaries. Code enforcement was recently assigned to the police department to maximize their partnership in compliance issues. We are working on ways to add to staff in this area. New jobs with livable wages are a necessity for our city. We are working with MSJC to determine what training is needed by our youth to obtain and maintain skilled jobs.
