Candidate for
Director; Western Municipal Water District; Division 2

I am grateful to have represented Division 2 customers on the Western Municipal Water District Board of Directors since 2007. I believe I am well qualified to represent Division 2 again for the next 4 years.

Water District Board members must make decisions that benefit current and future customers. My record of working collaboratively with other organizations and groups has been particularly valuable in this regard.

As a member of the WMWD Board of Directors, we have;
- Reached a historic agreement with the City of Riverside, resulting in lower water costs for Western's retail customers and $11.7 million new revenue to the City. This agreement also helped offset water cost to Riverside residents served directly by the City.
- Implemented the use of non-potable water for Riverside National Cemetery and other agricultural irrigation, thus stretching the supply of precious drinking water.
- Provided about $3.8 million in water efficiency rebates to customers throughout Riverside and the surrounding area.

I have represented WMWD customers on the Board of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California since 2009. I have been an aggressive advocate for cost control, leading to dramatically lower rate increases.
