Candidate Statement

By Brenda Dennstedt

Candidate for Director; Western Municipal Water District; Division 3

This information is provided by the candidate
I became involved in water in Riverside County, in the City of Murrieta a decade ago when high levels of copper were found in the drinking water in many of the homes in my neighborhood.

Making sure our water is SAFE, RELIABLE and AFFORDABLE has always been and will continue to be my mission.

As a water service customer and a single parent, I work to keep household costs down. I understand the value of a dollar and trying hard to make ends meet. I fight hard to keep rates from rising by finding the most efficient ways to deliver safe water to homes and businesses in our community.

In my seven years on the Western Municipal Water District board I have worked on everything from engineering and building to finance and water-use efficiency. My leadership experience includes:

- Serving two terms as Board President for Western Municipal Water District
- Representing my community on the Murrieta County Water District board
- Acting as Chairperson for Western Riverside County Regional Wastewater Authority
- Serving on the Executive Committee for Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG)
- Helping guide the Murrieta General Plan as an Advisory Committee Member
- Involvement in various community organizations including Girl Scouts and the school districts.

It is an honor and privilege to serve you.

A vote for me means safe, reliable and affordable water service for you and your family.
