This information is provided by the candidate

Steven is a Southern California native whose family has lived in the area for generations. His parents moved to Eastvale seeking a place with a high quality of life at an affordable price like many of the City's families. Instead of just finding a neighborhood to live in, they found a community to dedicate their lives towards.

Steven is locally educated, graduating from Amor Christian Academy in Corona and earning his Associate's degree in Social and Behavioral Studies from Norco College. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration at California Baptist University, while working full time as a Human Resources Administrator at Monster Energy Company.

Prior to working at Monster Energy, Steven worked for the City of Eastvale as well as the City of Corona. In Corona, he worked in the Management Services Department where he helped administer the City's successful military banner program, advised the Mayor's Youth Council, and implement the Healthy Corona initiative. As a City of Eastvale employee, Steven was involved in numerous projects including the military and scholarly way banner programs, business license program, and acting as a liaison within the community. Thanks to his time working in local government, Steven has an integral understanding of the issues facing California municipalities in the future.

Steven is an active member of the community and is part of the Eastvale Chamber of Commerce, Corona Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Municipal Management Association of Southern California. He is also a member of the Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council and various boards and organizations through his work at Monster Energy.
