William White grew up in North Sacramento County before graduating from Center High and receiving two Associate's degrees from Sierra College in Rocklin. Upon transferring to Sacramento State to pursue a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Government, William became involved in state and local politics in a variety of capacities. Amongst numerous campaign and lobbying efforts thoughout the 2010 and 2012 electoral cycles William worked alongside members of the labor community to defeat Proposition 32, with the California Faculty Association to fight against cuts to higher education, and with the office of Speaker Emeritus John A Perez to help pass the Middle Class Scholarship Act. His service to the community earned formal recognition from the offices of Assemblymembers Dr. Richard Pan and Roger Dickinson.

As an educator William has worked with students at every step of their educational development. As a former teaching assistant responsible for freshman courses in Government and Learning Skills William learned what it takes for our students to succeed at a four year university. William found a passion for Special Education as a Substitute Teacher in the Yuba-Sutter region, before going to work as an employee of Twin Rivers Unified School District and becoming a member of CSEA #1717.

While serving as a paraeducator at Pacific Highschool, William worked with a range of students in the Special Education and Alternative Education settings and served as a site representative for the Twin Rivers CSEA Chapter and as a union representative to the district's Budget Advisory Committee. In the last year William has since moved on to work as a transition assistant with the district's Workability program and is now responsible for providing job placement and college enrollment services to students in the Twin Rivers adult transition and alternative education programs.
