I am running for FV City Council to offer the residents and businesses an alternative to lifelong politicians. I will honor and respect term limits, in both the letter AND the voters intent.

I believe a government should be "of the people, by the people, and for the people". Elected officials should abide by the same rules and codes of conduct as their constituents. Campaign contributions from City vendors should be abolished.

I am fiscally conservative, and I do not feel City Council candidates should spend thousands of dollars, if not tens of thousands of dollars, to get elected. I believe campaign spending limits ought to be established. I have not accepted a single dime in campaign contributions. I am not beholden to anyone, and that makes me free to conduct the business of the City of Fountain Valley, in a fair and unbiased manner.

Current Council has lost the trust of the good folks of Fountain Valley with their reckless management of this City. It is unconscionable that they would approve a long term trash hauling contract WITHOUT any sort of competitive bid process!!! This Council also voted to establish a "Joint Powers Authority" (JPA) on August 19, 2014.

The implementation of this "JPA" must be stopped. A "JPA" removes the taxpayer from the major decision making process and gives entirely too much power and financial control of our City's assets to 5 members of Council, without any oversight.

As you drive around Fountain Valley, please note that I have NO political lawn signs. I believe our residents view them as "blight", and I respect your opinion.

I could not do this without the support of family, especially my wife of 24+ years, Bonnie Hersh Tucker. We have 2 children, and we believe strong family values are vital to the fabric of any community.

I believe in hard work, integrity-in every sense of the word, and personal responsibility pays dividends. I have been employed at the same company for over 27 years, working my way up from a trainee position, to VP in charge of the day to day operations of 18 tire stores.

If this appeals to you, I ask you to vote for me on November 4th. I can help. but I need your vote.
