What I plan to DO as a School Board Member

The reasons why YOU should vote for Cathey Ryder. I can make a difference.

I will work to ensure that your tax dollars are spent wisely and that the focus is always on what is best for the students.

I support the total comprehensive high school experience. We must offer classes , programs and extra-curricular activities that appeal to the most students.

Our schools must be safe places where all students are valued and respected.

I want to make sure that there is equity among the various, diverse high schools represented in this district.

We must work to prepare today's students for tomorrow's jobs and have quality Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) classrooms on each campus.

I support the use of technology and social media on our campuses. We must keep abreast of the ever changing technology and look for ways to best use technology and social media to enhance student learning. As a board member, I will use social media to communicate with students, parents, teachers, staff and the community.

I want to make sure that on each campus a climate of life-long learning is stressed.

I want the students who graduate from the HBUHSD to be sefl-disciplined individuals who think critically and are effective problem solvers.
