  • Improve and maintain great working conditions in order to attract and retain highly effective teachers, while appointing top quality Principals and Administrators
  • Expand comprehensive arts education programs

Safe Schools

"I believe that students deserve not just a safe school environment free from physical, verbal, and psychological violence, but a school setting free from the fear of those dangers."

  • Work with community organizations to expand after school programs
  • Better engage parents and community partners on issues of student & campus safety
  • Implement comprehensive gang prevention strategies

21st Century classrooms

"Our students deserve to learn in an environment that mirrors the real world and the workplaces they will one day enter."

  • Build 21st century classrooms and improve school facilities in a fiscally responsible way
  • Leverage existing bond money while attracting new money to expand and upgrade facilities
  • Ensure school construction and renovation projects utilize high quality labor

Responsible use of taxpayer dollars

"Taxpayers deserve a quality education system that uses their hard earned tax dollars in a fiscally responsible manner."

  • Restore balanced budgets in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Ensure budget cuts come from the administration, not the classroom
  • Better engage community stakeholders in Local Control Accountability Plan decisions
