I will work with all Council members and our new Mayor, Clyde Roberson and will not bring partisanship to local Council issues or the business of the Council. I will work as a team member to accomplish the important business of helping to lead our wonderful town. I will be fiscally prudent and conscious of controlling City spending. As the community embarks on several projects and new designs changes for several districts; the Lighthouse New Monterey Specific Plan, North Fremont Specific Plan, the Waterfront Plan and the Conference Center remodeling, we have community wide input that will be important for considerations as new and exciting changes take shape. We'll need to balance several interests and concerns while we bring certain levels of modern changes and enhancements into different districts. We must always preserve our history and important features of our community. I will always seek to preserve our important neighborhoods and our Ocean and the Monterey Bay Sanctuary.

We need a focus on local issues that impact our quality of life and how we all share this wonderful City. Monterey is a great place, but we do have many projects and areas to concentrate on. I want to get things done in the City. We have an opportunity to set effective council policy to steer our employees and managers in the correct way to enhance services and bring a culture of effective and friendly customer service. We need to reform several cumbersome and confusing city regulations and processes.

Monterey residents deserve to have a clean and safe city that is progressive and offers opportunity for a full array of recreation, full service library, a beautiful park system and a city where residents thrive and we co-exist with or businesses and all those that may choose to visit Monterey. For those that live, work or visit Monterey we want to preserve what is special about our wonderful city.

"Together Let's Make Monterey Even Better!"
