The Board needs a doctor or a nurse and a member who knows the hospital well.I have always felt that the SVMH Board needs to include either a doctor or a nurse for the clinical perspective to be appreciated. I will be the only member with that perspective. Moreover, the two continuing Board members have each been on the Board 2 years. The two incoming members (election not required because they had no opponent) have none. Only I can provide the institutional memory which will be essential in Board oversight. |
