I am honored to have this opportunity to serve you and the city that I have called home since I was a child. I grew up in El Cerrito. I know the history, needs, opportunities and challenges we have faced and must meet today. I returned to El Cerrito, where I have been active in neighborhood, local and regional organizations and issues, seeking to build a healthy community and celebrating our diverse population. As our city approaches it's centennial in 2017, I want to improve public safety by increasing police and fire personnel, maintaining our quality services, and preserving open space.

I am Chair of El Cerrito's Human Relations Commission and member of the Committee on Aging. I currently serve as Executive Board member of the nine-county Sierra Club Bay Chapter, West County Sierra Club Group, and Contra Costa West County Senior Coalition, and as Vice President of the West County League of Women Voters. I am a former Board Member of the Asian and Pacific Islander Wellness Center and a long-time volunteer for Shanti.

I attended El Cerrito public schools and graduated from El Cerrito High School. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Long Beach. Before returning to the Bay Area, I worked for many years in Los Angeles with an international law firm in recruiting and human resources.

I have earned the endorsements of current El Cerrito City Council Members Benasinni, Friedman, Lyman and Bridges, Former Mayors LaForce, Moore and Cheng, West County Supervisor John Gioia, and WCCUSD Board Member Madeline Kronenberg.

I would appreciate your vote on November 4th and the opportunity to be of service.
