Candidate for
Director; Ironhouse Sanitary District

This information is provided by the candidate

Water is one of the most critical of our precious commoditiesavailable in California. Should I be reelected to the Ironhouse Sanitary District Board I will concentrate my efforts to see that water is not wasted or used frivolously. Having worked in the environmental field for nearly 20 years, I bring solid experience and knowledge to the conservation and reuse endeavors at Ironhouse Sanitary District. Without reliable sources for water, there can be no development, residential or commercial and our quality of life will be severely impacted. Ironhouse Sanitary District strives to clean the water we receive to its highest and best use. Currently we are irrigating hay fields with the water. The other half of the water is tested and found to be cleaner than the river water and is released into the river. The hay sales are used to offset the costs of operations saving the ratepayers money and the river discharged water helps keep the salt water intrusion at bay. It is my hope that we will be able to find a commercial user that can use and purchase the water we treat in its operation.
