School is the time young people make critical decisions regarding their future. With focus and investment, we can inspire our students to achieve and become responsible, contributing community members.

INCREASE LEARNING & ACHIEVEMENT FOR ALL STUDENTS Raquel Donoso will invest in strategies that set high expectations and ensure all students are ready for college and career. She will work to attract and support great teachers that enhance learning opportunities and she will build new partnerships to support student success.

GREATER PARENT & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT Raquel Donoso is a parent and former single mother who knows the importance of strong neighborhood schools. She has decades of leadership experience directing community programs, being a PTA officer and member of the school site council. She will use these skills to guarantee that parents and community residents are a central part of our schools. This is especially important as we aim to increase school safety and reduce truancy rates.

STRONGER ACCOUNTABILITY There is a long way to go to meet the current and future needs of students. Raquel Donoso will advocate to make sure that parents receive important student information, committees get timely reports, and residents are advised about important decisions.
