Candidate for
Director; Ambrose Recreation and Park District

I am running for re-election to the Board of directors of the Ambrose Park and Recreation District.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Idaho State University plus some post graduate courses. I have retired from the Contra Costa County Office of Education after 33 years as a speech therapist and augmentative communication specialist for students with special needs.

I have lived in Bay Point for 36 years and have been active in the Bay Point community. I was elected to the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council for 5 years, first appointed and then elected, and appointed to the Project Area Committee for 2 years. I am a past member of the Bay Point Community Advisory Panel for 6 years.

I have made our home in Bay Point with my husband, Skip, and we have raised 3 daughters.

Since 2005, I have participated in both the Relay For Life of Antioch for the local American Cancer Society for 8 years as a Captain of a Bay Point Community Team and in 2014 Relay for Life as a Team Captain in the Relay For Life of Pittsburg.

I am also a member of the Pittsburg Chapter of the Women of the Moose.
