Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Terry Lattemore

Candidate for
Board Member; Biggs Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

As an incumbent Governing Board member, I am seeking reelection. During my tenure on the Board, we have successfully settled unresolved contract issues with each of the District's bargaining units. We have made significant strides in ensuring the financial stability of the District through sound fiscal management. The District has responded proactively to changes the State has implemented regarding school funding.

There is much left to do to make Biggs Unified School District the showcase it has the potential to be. Because of my 25 years of Information Technology experience, I am uniquely qualified to help the District move its computer technology into the 21st Century. We are on the brink of what may be the single biggest change in education in the last 100 years. The emergence of Cloud computing, high speed internet and wireless devices in the classroom will bring about changes none of us could have imagined when we were in school. As a District we must develop plans for this new technology and a new website. We will work with our faculty, staff, parents and students to continuously improve the educational experience for every student in the District. I would appreciate your vote and continued support.
