I am a candidate for the Feather River Recreation Parks District Board of Directors four year term. I have attended the FRRPD Board of Directors meeting for the past six (6) years. During that time the district has reached a debt of $4 million, had 3 Grand Jury Investigations and financial audits with recommendations for improvement but has failed to implement the recommendations. This debt has caused the parks to degrade at a very alarming rate. The homeless has set up a community in the park that has also caused problems with litter and other issues. The present board of directors has tried to make the necessary improvements but have only made minimal advances and the debt has restrained them from making "tough decisions" that are required. Having run my own business for more than 15 year I have the experience and dedication to make decisions and I know what real fiscal responsibility means. |
