My affiliation is with people like me, the neighbors and workers and business people who only want to live comfortably and honestly and maintain their integrity in the face of temptation and adversity.

I am proud to be independent and, though I have at times been registered with a political party, do not seek affiliation with them. I don't like the favor trading and office succession that I feel stifles progress and breeds apathy towards political participation.

I know of the hope and aspirations of the less fortunate and the less able and that I can help them achieve their goals. I am a progressive who actually makes progress. As an elected official, I will display the empathy, courage, and thoughtfulness expected and deserved by the people who vote for me.
