CAMPAIGN PRIORITIES:

As a Councilmember, I will be committed to offering solutions so that needed services are provided to the community while still ensuring that our City remains financially solvent. On the Council I'll provide a strong voice pushing to make public safety a top priority; promote economic opportunity and job creation; promote home ownership, promote and improve our schools; and invest in roads, parks, libraries, and the fiber optic loop. I'll work to improve downtown and expand retail shopping. We need to push our community forward while exercising fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency. My strong professional and academic background in finance and my skills as a business owner enables me to always look to raise the bar while still having a budget in mind. My work as a School Board Trustee demonstrates this ability in action.

PUBLIC SAFETY: Safe Neighborhoods Start with Listening to Residents

I understand that maintaining public safety is the most important role of the City Council. I am honored to have the endorsement of the Alameda County Firefighters and the San Leandro Police Officer's Association, two organizations that understand that I put the safety of our city's residents first in every decision.

BETTER SCHOOLS: Work with the School District to Build on Success

San Leandro's schools are experiencing a turnaround, and I'm proud of what I've contributed to that success. There's more that we can do... I'll work with our schools to make sure that they are plugged into the Lit San Leandro Fiber Optic Loop and will continue to support joint use projects to promote student achievement.

NEW BUSINESSES: Making the Right Investments to Position San Leandro for Growth

I've built relationships with leading technology firms across the Bay Area, and I will be a proactive advocate for our city. Businesses are excited about coming to San Leandro because we are taking the right steps to create a family-friendly atmosphere centered around a strong education system and smart investments.

EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGIES: Smarter Government Balances Budgets and Improves Services

I will use my experience as a financial analyst and technology consultant to improve the reliability and efficiency of city departments. We have great staff in San Leandro, and the right technologies will empower our city government to be even more responsive to residents and businesses.
