George Yang's solutions to the problems in higher education

George would confront pension liabilities at these institutions and cap the top pensions. He would use incentives to engage students to be a part of reducing campus costs. Mr. Yang would also make tuition affordable for all students. He would reduce paperwork and a top-heavy administration.

George also believes it's a good idea for students who are not certain what they want to do to work for several years prior to attending college. He would credit students who have at least 2 years of work experience and grant those students with work experience priority in the admissions process.

Mr. Yang also realizes that college is not for everyone and would encourage those with an interest in the trades to pursue that calling. Welders are making $150,000 per year.

As a recent immigrant who was given a full scholarship for his Masters degree from his alma mater, Golden Gate University, George knows the value of education, whatever you are pursuing. In California, we must pursue excellence in all forms of education.
