Scott Markovich is 52-years old, a second generation Californian, resides in Cedarpines Park, an unincorporated community located in the San Bernardino Mountains, has been married to his wife Susan for 33 years and raised 3 adult children. Scott Markovich grew up in the San Bernardino Mountains attending school at the various campuses within the Rim of the World Unified School District where he graduated from Rim of the World High School in 1979, where he was a stand out Athlete who went to California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) in both Football and Wrestling. Scott Markovich then attended Cal-State San Bernardino and obtained a degree in liberal studies. After graduating from college and obtaining his teaching credential, Scott worked as a teacher at Fontana School District until a situation involving another teacher compelled Scott Markovich to protect the students. Scott Markovich did not have tenure and was let go. Scott Markovich already had his contractor's license and decided to pursue a career in construction, a profession that his family has been in for three generations and has now been a licensed building contractor for 30 years where he specializes in custom homes and home improvements to existing housing mostly located in the San Bernardino Mountain Communities.

In his free time, Scott enjoys hiking with his wife and dog, collecting unusual wood for his custom furniture projects and making decorative furniture and enjoys spending time with wife dancing and attending music concerts.
Scott Markovich and Politics Scott has always been interested in politics. Scott decided he could make a difference in his local community by running for a board position on the Rim of the World Unified School District Board of Trustees and in December of 2006 the voters of his district elected Scott to represent them. Scott Markovich has served on the Rim of the World Unified School District Board since December 2006, when he was elected to represent the communities of Crestline, Valley of Enchantment and Cedarpines Park located in the San Bernardino Mountains. Scott Markovich was instrumental in getting Measure W passed in November 2008; a $23,340,000 school bond for the purpose of improving the district's infrastructure.
As a construction contractor, Scott Markovich played an active role in the construction committee in ensure the improvement projects were done cost effectively and correctly.
Scott Markovich was involved in having alternative energy installed at Rim of the World High School. Now wind turbines and solar panels are generating electricity and have become part of the curriculum.
Rim of the World Unified School District replaced several of their buses with buses fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG) through grant funding obtained through the Air Quality Management District (AQMD) and installed a CNG fast fueling station.
Scott Markovich has been there on behalf of the kids and to do his best to protect their right to a quality education. In 2010, Scott Markovich ran unsuccessfully for San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and recognizes that in politics it takes time to develop a relationship with the voters. San Bernardino County is the largest county in the nation. Scott and Community Involvement Scott Markovich is a member of the Lake Arrowhead Mountain Sunrise Rotary Club. As a Rotarian, Scott Markovich, through his club dues and volunteering has supported Lake Arrowhead Mountain Sunrise Rotary Club in their service to the community where they donated food to the hungry, provided equipment and uniforms to local sport programs, supported meals on wheels, the senior clubs and Domestic Violence Education Services (DOVES). Scott Markovich said what he likes the most about Rotary is that it's non- partisan, people are accepted for who they are and receive help when they need it.
