? 1. How would you prioritize the fiscal choices the Legislature must make to align the state’s income and spending?

Answer from George R. Williams:

-Balance the state budget
-Education - repeal of Common Core / Back to the basics
-Police/crime prevention
-Remove government regulations, lower taxes on businesses to encourage businesses to remain in California
-Utilize available energy, drilling, fracking, natural gas, etc., this alone would balance our budget!
-Protection of our borders

? 2. Given our current drought condition, concern for water rights and usage is an important issue. What solutions would you support to address our water problems?

Answer from George R. Williams:

-Release water to farmers in Northern California
-Build more dams, find ways to store rain water
-Explore use of ocean water

? 3. California high school students rank lower than many states in student performance. What do you see as the ongoing role of the Legislature in addressing this problem?

Answer from George R. Williams:

-Parental vouchers
-Charter schools with strict monitoring
-Encourage parental participation
-Use of mentors and role models
-Eliminate Common Core

? 4. What other major issues do you think the Legislature must address? What are your own priorities?

Answer from George R. Williams:

-Energy - Energy - Energy! Develop It and Use It wisely!
-To return sanity and common sense to California politics
-Move away from social engineering
