I grew up in Willits. My father was a mechanist and my mother was very active in the Democratic party.

I focused on environmental studies at Sonoma State University, and had my first career as an environmental chemist. Working in the private sector, I was promoted to a supervisor where I worked until I decided to attend law school.

I attended law school at Empire Law School and initially joined the Mendocino District Attorney's Office. I have handled every type of case from misdemeanors to murder. I received the award for Prosecutor of the Year in Mendocino County in 2004. I was promoted to Chief Deputy, where I supervised other attorneys.

I ultimately joined the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office in 2007, where I currently work. I have specialized in domestic violence and gang prosecution. I was awarded Prosecutor of the Year again in 2009. I have successfully prosecuted high profile gang murder and vehicular homicide cases.

I am currently assigned as the team leader for the domestic violence unit.

I recently moved from Cloverdale to Windsor, where I reside with my husband and children. I have two daughters, 18 and 7 years old.

I look forward to utilizing my leadership skills and trial experience to run an effective and inspired District Attorney's Office.
