This information is provided by the candidate
BRUCE WILLIAMS ENCOURAGES MORE BUSINESS GROWTH
Dedicated to Bringing New Jobs and Economic Activity to Community
Bruce knows the business community. He knows the San Diego County Economic Development Council. He knows city staff, Mayor Faulconer, and the city councilmembers. He will work at City Hall to develop incentives to bring more jobs into District 4. He will meet with business developers, CEOs, and corporate executives to encourage them to invest in District 4.

Bruce understands that its difficult for small business to navigate the bureaucratic process. He will dedicate a person on his staff to personally help all small businesses locate in District 4 and to help them stay in District 4. This Small Business Advocate will be able to help guide through the process so that there are not delays that could mean the difference for a small business.

Specifically, Bruce will:

  • Bring more good paying local jobs by working with CEOs, city staff, business developers to identify businesses that will benefit our residents.
  • Fight to require companies to hire more local residents by ensuring that there are commitments to hire our residents over importing people from other communities.
  • Advocate for more funding for job training that will benefit our young people and people who have been displaced. Learning new skills for companies who need those skills is the programs that Bruce will fight to secure.
  • Secure a just and livable wage.
