Santa Clara County Assessor Larry Stone holds a California certified appraiser's license; has served 19 years as Santa Clara County Assessor; was financial manager on Wall Street; and served as Mayor of Sunnyvale when it was recognized as America's best managed city.

Under Assessor Larry Stone's administration, in 18 of the last 19 years the Assessor's office spent less than budgeted, returning a total of $9.1 million to the County general fund. The California Board of Equalization's comprehensive independent audit concluded Assessor Stone's assessments met a 99.9% standard of accuracy. The Assessor holds large corporations accountable requiring each to pay their fair share.
