Smart Voter Official Statement for Don Gagliardi

Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Jose; Council District 3

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Community Advocate/Businessman
Age: 51
Education and Qualifications:
I am running for city council to bring people together to find solutions for San Jose. For two decades I have lived, worked and served as a community advocate in our District 3 neighborhood. I want to put that community service experience to work for all my San Jose neighbors.

I am endorsed by San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed because of my community-based plan. My priorities are: 1) hire more police to reduce crime, 2) attract new businesses and Create jobs, 3) reform municipal pensions, 4) be fiscally accountable to taxpayers, 5) expand library hours and services for seniors, and 6) foster a vibrant arts and culture scene.

My community experience includes leading successful efforts to keep Ellington Library in our neighborhood and to keep the San Jose Earthquakes in San Jose. That's why I know that working together, we really can achieve great things. I respectfully ask for your vote. Thank you.
