This information is provided by the candidate

Dear friends and family,

My name is Abe Snobar and I am the proud father of two beautiful and amazing daughters: Sophie and Ella. They are the most important things to me. Part of my motivation for running for City Council is to make my district a better place for my children, and everyone else's children, to live.

I am a native son of District 7 having attended school here and also having taught for 7 of the last 16 years in District 7, specifically at Jackman Middle School and Valley High School, from 1999-2005. Many of those students and their families remember who I am and still say Hi when we run into each other at the store.

One of my current leadership roles is as a football coach. I currently am the offensive coordinator for the Delta Ducks, the reigning California State champions for Minor League football spring season. I take pride in my players, my coaches, and our team as a whole. We have great fans and we look forward to a great 2014 season. Go Ducks!

I am proudly a candidate for Man of the Year with the Leukemia and Lymphoma society 2 years running. I have found a true love and appreciation for families effected by blood cancers and I have dedicated myself to doing what I can for as long as they will have me. Seeing the bravery of these young patients and drawing strength from their courage has been life changing. Truly amazing!!
