Job and Job Creation

By Clay Romero

Candidate for Supervisor; County of Mendocino; Supervisorial District 3

Clay Knows Jobs!
I am for greater promotion of farming, manufacturing and any other business that creates a physical product. These businesses create real wealth and not merely money. I know from practical experience that farming and manufacturing drive the service sector jobs. I look forward to a more robust Mendocino County that will safeguard our local economy and provide much needed employment. If a major manufacturing company wishes to locate to Mendocino County, I would be in favor of rewarding them with property tax exemptions if they will hire 50 local people. There is no social program that is better than a quality job.

For example, I envision jobs and equipment for recycling waste into real marketable products in Mendocino County. Trucks that leave the county with our refuse will be minimized as new products are produced. Instead of hauling aluminum cans, now we will provide industry with aluminum ingots. Instead of hauling plastic bottles, now we will provide manufacturers with raw plastic blocks. Real products made by local people of Mendocino County.

Farming produces a product and I encourage this highly. Mendocino County is home to some very bright people who can grow a wide variety of quality foods and usable products. I will take it upon myself to remove any obstacles that obstructs farmers from achieving success. I am personally interested in raising citrus products. Is there a regulation that is hindering your farming business? Do let me know. The farmers have a friend in Clay Romero.
