Position Papers
Creating a non-seasonal middle-class economy
Encourage new light industry and innovative proposals to bring well-paying jobs to the county, particularly light industry.
Dealing with drought conditions throughout the County
Mendocino County faces ongoing challenges, particularly to its agriculture, due to lack of rainfall and uncertain groundwater capacity.
Making the County's pension system sustainable
The retirement system is the county's "ball and chain" and we will likely continue to drag it along for decades into the future (i.e., UAAL = $130 million).
