League Question: The PA Constitution promises the citizen clean water, air and land. What steps would you take to uphold the Constitution?

By Jesse J. White

Candidate for State Representative; Pennsylvania State House of Representatives; District 46; Democratic Party

I will continue to be a leader in upholding our Constitutional rights to clean air, water and land. I fought hard against the unconstitutional Act 13, both in the Legislature and in the courts. I have introduced legislation to mandate full disclosure of all chemicals used in the fracking process (HB 1721), require air quality monitors near drilling and processing sites (HB 2172), eliminate the use of dangerous open air wastewater impoundments used to store hazardous wastewater from drilling operations (HB 1542) and ban the process of `forced pooling' aka private eminent domain for drilling purposes (HB 1700).
