1. Ensure Civil Rights for All
2. Repeal the VoterID Law
3. Protect our Environment
4. Support Women's Health
5. End Gun Violence
Josh Maxwell is a proud member of Mayors against Illegal Guns, and has spoken publicly and frequently about the need to stop gun violence. We need background checks and a ban on assault weapons in order to protect our families, our schools, and our streets.

He also believes that in order for people to be healthy, our environment must be healthy too. That is why he supports levying an excise tax on fracking so that the polluters are responsible for cleaning up their mess. He is a strong supporter of our beautiful parks and open space.

Mayor Maxwell is also an ardent supporter of women's healthcare. He supports a woman's right to choose, and believes we need to do more to help prevent domestic violence.

Josh Maxwell believes in the equality of all people. He supports repealing the PA VoterID law that will only suppress minority voter turnout. We need to ensure that everyone has an equal voice in government. He also supports inclusive non-discrimination laws and Marriage Equality, so that everyone can have the same chances at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

What Josh Maxwell has done already:

As the head of the Downingtown Police Department, Mayor Maxwell meets regularly with Chief McGowan in order to continue to protect our quality of life. Josh understand the needs of our police and fire departments, and the tough choices that come along with that responsibility.

Josh Maxwell is a member of Mayors for the Freedom to Marry, and supports LGBT rights at all levels. He wrote the first Green ordinance in Downingtown, volunteers at food pantries, and has spoken publicly about the need to curb domestic violence.
