Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Joshua David "Josh" Lang

Candidate for
State Representative; Pennsylvania State House of Representatives; District 78; Republican Party

This information is provided by the candidate

Overview Joshua is a strict conservative Republican, who will bring fiscal responsibility and a constitutional focus on limited government. I am pro-life, who will always fight for the life of an unborn child. In addition, I am a proud member of the NRA and will fight to ensure a person's right to bear arms is not compromise.

As a an Army Veteran, Joshua seeks to provide the 78th District with a leader, who understands what it means to sacrifice. He will fight to restore freedom and liberty for all citizens of the 78th district. He is committed to leading by example and vows to not accept every day per-diem for daily trips to Harrisburg, a state pension and will serve no more than 5 consecutive 2 year terms.

I have included a few of the issues that I am focused on specifically when I become elected. Please visit http://www.joshlangforstaterep.com/issues for more information and my position on issues.

Property Taxes: I am committed to ensuring that taxes remain fair and equitable. Your elected leader should be focused on reducing spending, not raising taxes. I believe in restoring the freedom of home ownership to the people of the 78th district. We cannot continue to raise taxes so high and take away what people have earned.

Investing in Education: As someone who attended public school, I'm a firm believer in supporting our education system. In addition, as a national veteran advocate, I believe in creating an efficient education system. Investing in our youth has a positive correlation to boosting our economy in Pennsylvania for years to come. In Pennsylvania, we are in desperate need of looking at new and innovative strategies to fund the public education school system. Unfortunately, school districts have to gauge how much to budget, which becomes difficult to estimate from year to year. I will fight to improve the quality of education for our children and grandchildren.

Jobs and Economic Growth: One of my top priorities if I'm elected as your state representative is job creation and boosting our economy. I am a firm believer in small government policies to produce a robust economy. I will work hard to reduce regulations that have harmed our business community. Businesses have vested time, money and resources and should be afforded to opportunity to flourish.

As an elected leader, I would hold regular job fairs and promote resources for job seekers in the district. I would create innovative initiatives that would create avenues for job seekers to connect with employers within the community. In addition, I will work to promote businesses and organizations within the 78th district. I will fight to reform corporate taxes in order to drive businesses forward. Pro-growth policies that include controlled spending, reducing government regulations, and limiting taxes will boost our economy in the 78th district and create future jobs.

Further, I will fight for economic projects within the community that will promote the 78th district. The 78th district should be a place that people want to visit and look for future jobs. As your elected leader I would work to promote and assist our agriculture and manufacturing industries as well.

Finally, I will work to create initiatives that will assist individuals with starting their own businesses. The private sector creates jobs and we should create an environment that gives individuals the tools to create future jobs and adds economic value for the 78th district.
