• Made Walnut one of America's "Top 50 Best Places to Live" (CNN/Money Magazine, August 2013)
• Made Walnut the "#1 Best Place to Raise Kids in California" (Bloomberg Businessweek)

• Completed the 24-hour Railroad Quiet Zone along Valley Boulevard
• Completed Meadowpass Road and continually improve other city streets
• Completed major street improvements at the Grand/Amar/Temple intersection
• Secured almost $1 million in federal funding for improvements on Nogales Street and other transportation projects

• Made Walnut one of the "Safest Cities in California" (Safewise.com, January 2014)
• Strengthened Walnut's neighborhood and business watch programs

• Balanced Walnut's city budget every year under difficult economic conditions
• Eliminated all unnecessary City spending
• Continued passport application services at Walnut City Hall

• Maintained our beautiful parks, sports fields, walking trails, horse trails and boulevards
• Explored water conservation measures to reduce water consumption at public facilities
