Over the past 15 years Downtown Long Beach has experienced wonderful transformations and tremendous business growth attracting tourism and conventions to the heart of Long Beach from Rainbow Harbor, Downtown to the Eastside Arts District Community. The 1st District is uniquely surrounded by the various improvement areas of the Downtown business district. I have lived in the City of Long Beach for 36 years and more recently in the 1st District for the past 10 years. As a former Field Deputy for First District, I held the responsibility of representing Councilwoman Bonnie Lowenthal in the district on concerns of community safety fairs, constituent events, public works (street paving, red curb, lighting), housing code enforcement issues with the city prosecutors office, police and fire services, the business community and environmental issues. I posses an extensive knowledge and understanding of local, state and federal operations, public affairs, administrative policy and advocacy.
