Post the Finances

By Steven Mozena

Candidate for Mayor; City of Long Beach

This information is provided by the candidate
Post all Long Beach city finances to the web, every day for fiscal transparency and accountability.
I propose that all of Long Beach's City Government finances should be posted on the Web every day in the form of an online checkbook register, so we can end waste, fraud, duplication of services, and corruption.

Instead, we will have full fiscal transparency and thwart the kind of fiscal improprieties that happened in the City of Bell with its City Manager, Mayor, Council et. al., and in California's Centinela Valley, where the school superintendent paid himself more than $650,000 in total salary and compensation last year.

Stockton and San Bernardino went bankrupt. Long Beach too has a propensity to be fiscally mismanaged. If elected, I will first post to the Web all finances of the Mayor's office and each city department thereafter.

This would help us all see where all the money is spent and spend it more responsibly.
