Growth and Development

By Denise Delmar

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Sierra Madre

This information is provided by the candidate
Limited to no development until our dire water situation is improved enough to sustain any additions to our current population.
I have experienced the negative impact that over-development has on housing prices, safety, and the quality of public schools, and I pledge to work towards encouraging thoughtful development that allows our town to prosper and remain vibrant.

I have spent over 4 years updating our General Plan, the blueprint for all Sierra Madre development for the next 20 years. I will ensure all development follows the General Plan policies as they apply to housing mass and neighborhood compatibility, and the protection of our hillsides and wildlife.

I will advocate for limited to no development until our dire water situation is improved enough to sustain any additions to our current population.
