Biography for Teddy Gray King

For more than two decades, I have proven my commitment to public service. Since moving to Piedmont with my husband Larry in 2004, I served six years on the Piedmont Park Commission, my last as Chair, I Chaired the Piedmont Environmental Task Force, and I am a current member of the Piedmont Recreation Commission. In each of these positions, I work hard to listen to the concerns of my fellow Piedmonters, city staff and elected officials to arrive at thoughtful and pragmatic policy decisions.

In addition, I was President of the Piedmont Neighbors and Newcomers Club, was media liaison on the 2012 Giving Campaign, and I served as a precinct captain for Measure A, the recently passed school parcel tax.

My first-hand experience in government includes working on a groundbreaking United States Senate campaign, serving as a Congressional Aide to a member of Congress for almost five years, as Chief of Staff to a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, as top level staff to San Francisco's transportation department and as Policy Analyst to a national health care advocacy organization.

My husband and I live in Piedmont with our three children.
