Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Donald P. Bonnett

Candidate for
Council Member; Township of Upper Darby; Ward 1

This information is provided by the candidate

I have a sincere interest in preserving the quality and safety of my Drexel Hill Community and improving the entirety of Upper Darby Township as a quality town in which to live. We have our challenges, which need to be addressed in a serious way by dedicated people willing to commit the time and effort to the cause. I have both the interest and the willingness to devote the time to the elected Council position that I hold. I have the benefit of being a principal in a business and can schedule my availability at any time of the day to address Township matters, and I do that. I believe my many years running a business have given me the operational and management skills essential to be effective in my position on Township Council. My track record as a Councilman proves that I am always available to assist my constituents with the solution of their problems and respond to their concerns by acting as the go-to person when they need help with Township matters. I encourage the residents of the First District of Upper Darby to contact me any time at my home or business.

My background and training as a Registered Architect enables me to apply my professional experience to the development of planning, zoning, building code and property maintenance codes that are regulations so important to maintaining high standards of living in any community. Enforcement of these regulations to preserve the character of our community is a priority of mine.

My job as Councilman is to represent the best interests of the residents whom I serve, without regard for personal gain. I will continue to fulfill this obligation in my service to our community.
