I have served the residents of the city for 19 years, working to build a new Pittsburgh. I have been able to bring together broad and diverse coalitions of labor, faith leaders, advocacy groups, business, and residents to achieve over 4 billion of economic development and 10% growth for the residents of District 8. I led the fight to keep Pittsburgh out of bankruptcy and to rebuild financial stability. I have worked to bring government into the 21st century and institute lasting reforms that end pay-to-play politics and strengthen ethics.
