This information is provided by the candidate

I acquired over 37 years law enforcement and management experience with the Pittsburgh Police, working my way through the ranks from uniform Patrol Officer, to Narcotics Detective to uniform Lieutenant, to Detective Lieutenant in charge of the rape, robbery and homicide squads, to Zone Commander to Assistant Chief of Operations and Assistant Chief of investigations. I retired from the force in 2006 as Deputy Chief and second +in-command of the entire police bureau.

Serving as Sheriff since 2006, I have worked hard to restore professionalism and credibility within the Office, bring innovation and efficiency to services and implement programs working in the best, most cost-effective interests of County citizens.
