Issue Statement:

The Excellence in Education Team is committed to enhancing Mt. Lebanon School District's tradition of academic excellence through accountability, family engagement, academic rigor and focus on student achievement.

We will:

• Solicit and encourage parent and taxpayer constructive dialogue as it pertains to budget, curriculum, and the benefit of public education to the overall community. Clearly communicate any and all program modifications/changes which would directly affect students in the classroom.

• Ensure the well-being of our students by supporting active communication with guidance counselors and parents, as well as utilizing other available resources. Regular review of safety plans and procedures with the school district administration and the active engagement of law enforcement.

• Pledge to be responsible stewards of the public's tax dollars, making every effort to keep taxes low while delivering a quality program to our students by outstanding professionals.
