Smart Voter Additional Endorsements for CAROL A. SIMS

Candidate for
Fiscal Officer; Township of Symmes

This information is provided by the candidate

JOHN BORCHERS, retired Symmes Township Fiscal Officer - "Her knowledge and understanding of local government and the services it provides to the community is exceptional. In my estimation Carol Sims is the best possible qualified candidate for the position of Symmes Township Fiscal Officer."

PHIL BECK, Symmes Township Trustee - "Carol Sims is a seasoned expert-level Fiscal Officer who has earned a reputation for integrity, credibility, transparency and fiscal conservatism. In these times of tight budgets, deeply reduced Sate funding and lower revenues, it is vitally important that Symmes Township keeps our expert at the helm."

KEN BRYANT, Symmes Township Trustee - "She is a fiscal conservative that exhibits sound judgement and knowledge of government finance. When Carol and the elected Fiscal Officer retired, the Township Trustees did not consider anyone else for the position and unanimously appointed Carol Sims for the unexpired term of office."

REV. THEODORE W. KALSBEEK - "One of the most faithful and capable persons connected officially with the Township. I am honored to endorse Carol's candidacy and urge you to vote for her".

PHIL SEIBERT, former Board of Zoning Appeals and Finance Committee member - "The role of Fiscal Officer is not a part time job, nor is it a job for someone who just shows up once or twice a month to participate in a meeting. The Fiscal Officer needs to be committed to watching the daily flow of funds - and have a hand-on, working knowledge of each budgetary category. Carol has done that for 24 years Therefore, by keeping and electing Carol as Fiscal Officer, the Township does NOT need to hire additional personnel."

ANGIE SETTELL, Councilwoman, City of Loveland - "The Fiscal Officer is NOT a ceremonial position but a job were one needs financial expertise, knowledge of township operations and fiscal savvy to be successful. This is a job Carol knows and does well. There is no greater testament to Carol's ability and experience than her being appointed Fiscal Officer by the Symmes Trustees."

PHIL TEMPEL, member of Finance & Audit Committee - "Carol demonstrates knowledge, competence and dedication to the Township. With 24 years of experience in various fiscal and administrative functions, she is uniquely qualified to serve as Fiscal Officer."

C.J. CARR, Vice President, Symmes Historical Society - "She has always been there for the residents. She sees herself more as a friend - someone that you can call and get answers on Township issues such as aggregation, zoning, lighting districts, cemetery. Our Township cannot afford to lose Carol."

EDWARD CHARTIER - "In my observations as a former member of the Township Finance and Audit Committee, Carol is fully qualified to fill the position of Fiscal Officer."
