While on most issues the Evendale Council has acted unanimously, on some there have been disagreements. I have supported the following issues which other council members opposed: Gorman Heritage Farm operating contract; the creation of the Evendale Cultural Arts Center; the replacement of lighting in the Evendale Municipal Complex; and, installing a sidewalk on Wyscarver to provide access to the Griffin Park. The majority of Council in adopting the new zoning code decided to allow Day Care Centers serving twelve children in the residential neighborhoods. The State regulations require Evendale to allow Day Care Centers serving a maximum of six children. I opposed the adoption of this provision in the zoning code. |
