Questions & Answers

1. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the Village?

Police & Fire protection Recreational opportunities Maintain streets, roads, and sidewalks

2. How would you balance the Village Budget?

Current council efforts have led to a balanced budget. Through maintaining continued financial responsibility existing debt will be greatly reduced and a "rainy day" fund should carry the Village through the loss of State funding that will intensify through 2016.

Finding a responsible answer to the situation and decline of the Greenhills Shopping Center and business district will in time further strengthen the Village's financial position without increasing taxes beyond their current levels.

3. Citizen engagement is important to the health of local government. In what ways do you support citizen engagement?

Positive engagement of the citizens has been and needs to continue to be a strength of our Village. Whether it has been our Volunteer Fire Dept., Recreation offerings at the pool, golf course, festivals, concerts,or holiday events, make Greenhills a great place to live and grow. The opportunity is there. Telling the story better is one of my primary goals and that of my running mates, Melanie K. Brokaw and Glenn Drees, as well as the incoming mayor Dave Moore.

While there are those who chose to abuse the privileges afforded them as citizens, they are greatly out numbered by residents (while maybe not as vocal)who very much care about the Village and it's future and quietly support the Village.
