Attracting and Retaining Businesses
During the years I have been on City Council in Forest Park, the City has stressed not only attracting new businesses, but also retaining current ones. We have been very successful in both areas. While many communities across the country have experienced numerous businesses closings, Forest Park has been able to bring in a number of new businesses and have kept many of our businesses from relocating. Ameritas, our largest employer, worked with the City and developed an agreement that allowed it to remain in Forest Park, thus retaining jobs that would have otherwise been loss.
