Questions & Answers

1. What are your qualifications for office?

I have served as Mayor for the City of Reading for 12 years, Councilman-at-Large, and am currently Councilman of the 2nd Ward. I have also served as the city Treasurer and Service Director. I am also serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee.

2. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the City?

Police, Fire, Garbage Collection, Street Maintenance and Repair.

3. How would you balance the City Budget?

Our record speaks for itself. We have already completed this act mainly by the reduction of staff through attrition.

4. Citizen engagement is important to the health of local government. In what ways do you support citizen engagement?

Once a month I have a 2nd Ward Advisory Committee meeting. Any resident has the opportunity to speak directly with me on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
